To be Axed or not… (Pt 1)

I did promise to start off today’s blog with things that I’m thankful for, first and foremost that would be my family. I’m sooooo thankful to be blessed with a family like mine, that’s ever supportive in every which way I can think of. Think my heavenly Father must have known how important it was to me to have such a family. #AMAGHIMO #thankfulformyfamily

Starting with my hubby, The Original O or Mr O has fondly called by moi. It just struck me now how difficult it was getting a solo pix of you hubby, guess we’re going to have to work with on that.

I’m grateful Lord for giving me a man that loves me unconditionally, believes the best of me, puts up with my eccentricities (curves, edges & all) Lol. And literally thinks the sun rises and sets on me (wonder why) *smile* #AMAGHIMO #thankfulformyhubbyMrO

I can almost the hear ladies go awww… but don’t get carried away, this is still a movie blog not a romance one. Will continue with the things i’m grateful for on Friday but for the moment, back to the thing we love the most.

The 2015-2016 TV season has been pretty exciting so far, with some big dramas hitting some schedule and some smaller comedies, like The Grinder and Grandfathered finding their way into people’s homes and hearts. There are some big shows returning at midseason, too, with programs like Agent Carter and Secrets and Lies finding a home on the big networks. By this spring, the networks have some big decisions to make on whether or not some of our favorites will get renewals, so let’s take a look at those that have made it so far and those that got axed *sad face*.

Sometimes a show will receive a full episode order before it gets picked up for a brand new season. While that’s good news, it doesn’t necessarily mean that a show won’t get axed before the next season.

ABC actually had a pretty rough fall, with both Wicked City and Blood & Oil failing to find avid audiences (think Blood & Oil had it particularly bad). Luckily, some of the network’s longer-running stuff is still doing well, and in March of 2016, the network renewed a ton of stuff for the 2016-2017.

The Real O’Neals Renewed on May 12

I’m glad to see some of my favourites were renewed like Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy, and Dancing With The Stars and Once Upon A Time. Got an axe to grind with the later for introducing “homosexuality” into the series. Who wants a fairy tale with gays???  Sad about The Muppets and Galavant. Really liked the latter.

CBS has some strong performers, including The Big Bang Theory, which was renewed as part of a huge deal before TV programs even began airing this fall. However, there should be plenty of spots for new shows in the lineup next year, as The Good Wife and Mike & Molly are definitely ending (Finally @ The Good Wife. Though I never understand what was good about her???).

2 Broke Girls Renewed For Season 6
The Amazing Race Renewed For Season 29

Yay! For Madam Secretary (that’s one political drama you should watch if you haven’t started already), Blue Bloods, NCIS, Elemmentary, Criminal Minds. Didn’t really feel the CSI Cyber. Could care less about Supergirl. Hope moving it to CW will help it. Let’s see. Pity about Rush hour though. Thought they had something there.

Have to stop here for now. We’ll continue next Tuesday. Remember #AMAGHIMO ladies (counting our blessings). See you on Friday’s Movie Review. Bye. Bye. And keep watching the movies!
