To Be Axed or Not… (PT 2)

Welcome to another beautiful week. I had a full but fun weekend with two weddings (no funeral, please! Lol!), one of which involved travelling to Ibadan. Happy Married Life guys! Mwuah! So, what am I thankful for today; that would be my church, David’s Christian Church (DCC), my Pastor, my amazing Membership and Believers Class Department (M&B) and my sooooo talented teens and Ministers in  David’s Army#Amaghimo #thankfulformypastor #thankfulformyamazingM&Bfamily  #thankfulformyincredibleDAteens

Someday I’ll share how meeting my Pastor, Pk has fondly called, M&B and David’s Army transformed my life but for today, I just want to say I love you guys like kilode!

What are you thankful for? Anyways, back to “To be Axed or Not”, let’s check out what’s up with the remaining networks.

The CW

Over the last few years, the CW has capably put together a slew of original programming that appeals to niche audiences. From comic book adaptations to the story of a girl who was accidentally artificially inseminated, we expect most of the CW’s lineup to stick around next year. Stuff like Reign is on slightly stickier footing.

Legends of Tomorrow Renewed March 11
Containment Cancelled on May 12
(Beauty and the Beast’s final season will air this summer)

All my favourites are up there for renewal including my guys “The Winchesters”. Yippee! I’ve always believed that CW has the best series, except for Legends of Tomorrow (just not feeling that one). I thought Containment wasn’t bad. Surprised to see it didn’t make the cut.

A lot of Fox’s animated programming is already renewed. Recently, the network also revealed that Bones will eke it out for one more season on the network, which was a huge surprise (I’m surprised it even lasted this long. Thank God it’s finally over)

Bob’s Burgers Renewed
Bones Renewed For 12th and finale season
Brooklyn Nine-Nine Renewed
Empire renewed
Family Guy  Renewed
Gotham Renewed
Grandfathered Cancelled on May 12
The Grinder Cancelled On May 12
The Last Man On Earth Renewed
Masterchef Junior
Minority Report Cancelled

The Simpsons Renewed
Sleepy Hollow Renewed

American Idol Cancelled
Bordertown Cancelled on May 12
Hell’s Kitchen
Second Chance  cancelled
Lucifer Renewed For Season 2
The X-Files (Probably returning for another limited series, but not next TV season)

Empire, Gotham, Sleepy Hollow remain intact. Pity about American Idol and Minority Report. But I got a lot of reservations about the “sympathy for the devil” series, Lucifer. Not surprised it was renewed. It’s just the c***p that Hollywood loves to sell. Guys, I would advise that you keep away from that one.

That’s it for Just Gist Tuesday. Stayed tuned for the conclusion of our “To Be Axed or Not” series, next week. Shine, got your mail but sorry to let you know that your series was cancelled by ABC in 2006, due to poor ratings. Believe me however when I say you’ve got enough replacements from the lineup we have so far. Ladies don’t forget we’ve barely got four days to go to our When Women Worship Conference, AMAGHIMO. Look forward to seeing you there. Remain blessed guys. Bye!
