The Year Aint Over Yet.

Hi people! Believe you’re having an awesome week. If not, don’t fret. The week isn’t over yet.  And here’s a list of that thing we love the most to keep you all cheered up.

The 1st three quarters has seen some amazing films like Logan, Wonder Woman, The Boss Baby etc. But the last quarter still has some amazing films we can look forward to. Here’s some of them from October to December.

Blade Runner 2049


Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford star in Blade Runner 2049, an American neo-noir science fiction film and sequel to the (1982) Blade Runner. The film will be released globally October 6, 2017, in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D.


The Mountain Between Us


From 20th Century Fox on 6 October 2017, is The Mountain Between Us, an American romancedisaster film based on the novel of the same name by Charles Martin. Idris Elba and Kate Winslet star as a surgeon and a journalist, respectively, who survive a plane crash but are stranded with injuries and harsh weather conditions. Sounds interesting.


My Little Pony


My Little Pony: The Movie  is a Canadian–American animated musical fantasy film based on the television series My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, which was developed as part of the 2010 re-launch of the My Little Pony franchise by Hasbro. With the voice talents of casts from the series: Tara StrongAshleigh BallAndrea LibmanTabitha St. Germain, and Cathy Weseluck, with guest performances by Emily BluntKristin ChenowethLiev SchreiberMichael PeñaSiaTaye DiggsUzo Aduba, and Zoe Saldana.


The Foreigner


Our beloved Jackie Chan stars alongside Pierce Brosnan  in this English-language action thriller film  titled The Foreigner.  The film’s centered round a humble business on vengeful vendetta against his daughter’s killers. It’s scheduled for release in China on 30 September and in the United States on 13 October 2017.


The Snowman


Michael FassbenderRebecca FergusonCharlotte GainsbourgVal Kilmer and J. K. Simmons, star in The Snowman, an upcoming British crime thriller horror film, also based on the novel of the same name by Jo Nesbø. Fassbender is a lead detective who with the help of a brilliant recruit (Ferguson), must stop a several decades old elusive serial killer.




One big deal according to reports is Geostorm, the upcoming American environmental disaster science-fiction action film co-written, produced, and directed by Dean Devlin as his feature debut.  Geostorm is about a satellite designer who tries to save the world from a storm of epic proportions caused by malfunctioning climate-controlling satellites. Boo 2! A Madea Halloween


Tyler Perry and Midea fans can look forward to this upcoming American comedy horror film written, produced, directed by, and starring Tyler Perry titled Boo 2! A Madea Halloween is an. Like Medea isn’t bad enough without adding some horror to it. SuperApprehensive Face. The film is scheduled to be released on October 20, 2017 by Lionsgate.


The War with Grandpa


Scheduled for release on October 20, 2017, movie veteran Robert De Niro, with Christopher Walken and Oakes Fegley star in the American familycomedy-drama film “The War with Grandpa”.  Directed by Tim Hill, the film is based on the novel of same name by Robert Kimmel Smith.


Thank You for Your Service


On October 27, 2017, we’ve Thank You for Your Service, an American biographical war drama film about the effects of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), on United States soldiers who try to adjust to civilian life after returning from Iraq. Produced by DreamWorks Pictures and distributed by Universal Pictures, it stars Miles TellerHaley BennettBeulah KoaleAmy Schumer, and Scott Haze.


Thor: Ragnarok


One of favourite Superhero act Chris Hemsworth and my baddest villain, Loki (Tom Hiddleston. See post TV’s  Fab Villains) return for another sequel Thor: Ragnarok, an American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Thor. It features Cate BlanchettIdris ElbaJeff GoldblumTessa ThompsonKarl UrbanMark Ruffalo, and Anthony Hopkins. Not a bad line up.

In Ragnarok, Thor must defeat the Hulk in a gladiatorial duel in time to save Asgard from Hela, (why ever is he fighting Hulk?) and stop the coming Ragnarö, the doom of the Asgardian civilization.


Roman Israel, Esq.


Denzel is back! Starring in the legal drama film Roman Israel, Esq. written and directed by Dan Gilroy. Scheduled to be released on November 3, 2017, by Columbia Pictures, it follows the story of a liberal lawyer named Roman J. Israel (Denzel Washington) has been fighting the good fight while others take the credit.


Murder on the Orient Express


Agatha Christie fans can look forward to Murder on the Orient Express, an American mystery film directed by Kenneth Branagh and based on the 1934 novel of the same name. The film stars Branagh as Hercule Poirot, with Penélope CruzWillem DafoeJudi DenchJohnny DeppJosh GadDerek JacobiLeslie Odom Jr.Michelle Pfeiffer, and Daisy Ridley. It’s scheduled for release on November 3, 2017 by 20th Century Fox.


The Star


Animation lovers aren’t left out, slated for release on November 10, 2017 by Columbia Pictures is The Star (previously known as The Lamb), an American 3D computer-animated Christian comedy film directed by Timothy Reckart.[5] Based on the Nativity of Jesus.


Daddy’s Home 2


Daddy’s Home fans can look forward to a sequel, Daddy’s Home 2 on November 10, 2017. Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg reprise former roles, with Linda CardelliniJohn CenaJohn Lithgow and Mel Gibson.


Justice League


In the same November, is one of the anticipated movies of the year “Justice League”  the American superhero film based on the DC Comics superhero team of the same name. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Ben AffleckHenry CavillGal GadotJason MomoaEzra MillerRay FisherCiarán HindsAmy AdamsWillem DafoeJesse EisenbergJeremy IronsDiane LaneConnie Nielsen, and J. K. Simmons.

Directed by Zack Snyder and written by Chris Terrio, from a story by Snyder and Terrio. Hope Snyder does better with this than he did with Superman: Dawn Of Justice (See Post Hero or Horror Movie). The success of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman most probably will help a whole lot.


Death Wish


In November 22, 2017,  Bruce Willis stars in “Death Wish” an upcoming American vigilante action film and a remake of the 1974 film of the same name which starred Charles Bronson in the lead, based on the 1972 novel written by Brian Garfield.


Wonder Wheel

The first film slated for theatrical release on December 1, 2017 by Amazon Studios is Wonder Wheel. The American drama film written and directed by Woody Allen, sees Kate Winslet leading the ensemble cast of Justin TimberlakeJuno Temple, and Jim Belushi. Hmm… Winslet and Timberlake. An interesting combo. Wonder (pun intended) if she enjoys taking on roles with younger men. Because its been the case lately.


Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi


on December 15, 2017, the American epicspace opera Star Wars: The Last Jedi (also known as Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi) returns. This is second film in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, following Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)

Pitch Perfect 3


Pitch Perfect fans can look forward to Pitch Perfect 3, a sequel to Pitch Perfect 2 and the third and final installment in the Pitch Perfect trilogy.  Scheduled for release on December 22, 2017, the film stars Anna KendrickAnna CampRebel WilsonBrittany SnowHailee SteinfeldAlexis KnappEster DeanHana Mae LeeChrissie FitKelley Jakle and Shelley Regner, with Elizabeth Banks and John Michael Higgins.


Bastards: Who’s Your Daddy?

The Papers 

historical drama film about a cover up that spanned four U.S. Presidents and the efforts of the country’s first female newspaper publisher and its editor to publish the Pentagon Papers. Directed and co-produced by Steven Spielberg, it stars  Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep.
